About us.
Epsom Radio Flying Club is one of the UK’s oldest model aircraft clubs. Started in 1968 on Epsom Downs, the Club has since migrated south to its current location on the border between Surrey and Sussex.
About our flying site: In late 2025 the club relocated from our previous home to a nearby site which benefits from much improved vehicle access and 7-days per week flying. Whilst we are still in the early stages of establishing ourselves at our new location, our ethos remains unchanged.
A friendly bunch who love our sport and enjoy getting together at our flying field for some good days flying and a chat with friends. During the summer we also have Wednesday evening Fly-Inns. In the winter, once a month (Third Wednesday) we hold our “Club Night” for a noggin and a natter and more often than not, a guest speaker at Heathy Farm pub in Crawley.
ERFC welcomes new members and can offer training to those with little or no prior experience. Flying is currently restricted to electric only models. Unfortunately due to our location we cannot accommodate Multi-Rotor models.
For those that wish to progress through the BMFA achievement scheme we have 2 examiners and 4 instructors.
If this sounds like your sort of thing and you would like to join, please use the contact form in the contact us section and drop us a line. Experienced pilots and novices are all welcome.
